Some months ago I listed an enquiry with AMC to assist in finding a GTHO Phase 3. Not long after I made the enquiry I received a call from Mike Selby with information and pics on an Ultra White Phase 3. The pics of the car didn't do it justice and I almost passed it up - but Mike assured me that the car was very original and worth a look. I had the car inspected by Frank Portelli of Classic Car detailing who also confirmed that it was a very original car. I went ahead and negotiated a price and bought it. I have since had the engine bay tidied up and brought closer to original condition. The car was extremely original and under all the 33 years of dust under the car was many of the factory paint dabs and markings.   Most of the exterior paint is original unrestored as well as the interior. All The car needed a good detail and tidy up and goes to show that pictures don't tell the full story! Thank you to Mike for your help and Frank Portelli for the great job in tidying the car up. As I am fairly new to the Falcon GT scene, I needed someone to verify that the GTHO that I was looking at was the genuine article and that the asking price was about right. Frank provided this service to me that allowed me to buy my GTHO Phase 3 with confidence. 

At the same time, Frank was able to identify any deficiencies the car had and how much it would take to rectify these.  Fortunately, the car I was looking at had only 1 or 2 minor items to fix, with Frank’s expertise in this area being invaluable. 

Also the fact that the car was in a different city to where Frank and I reside didn’t matter – Frank simply flew to meet me in Sydney for the day to inspect the car. I was particularly impressed with Frank’s professionalism and expertise.  I would not hesitate in using him again to verify a Falcon GT.
